Subject S&P/Topix 150 Futures Delisted - Effective September 10, 2004
Notice Date 2004-09-14
Notice Number 04-160
Effective Date

On August 20, 2004, the Tokyo Stock Exchange ("TSE") notified CME of its decision to discontinue listing the S&P/Topix 150 contract, due to insufficient liquidity and lack of demand.  Since the settlement price for the CME S&P/Topix 150 Stock Index contract is derived from the TSE contract, on September 8, 2004, CME's Board approved the delisting of the CME S&P/Topix 150 Stock Index contract.

TSE will discontinue its listings beginning with the June 2005 contract.  CME currently lists two March quarterly contracts for the S&P/Topix 150 Stock Index contract.  The March 2005 S&P/Topix 150 contract, which was listed at CME on September 10, 2004, will be the final contract month listed.  Subsequent to the March 2005 listing, no additional S&P/Topix 150 Stock Index contract months will be listed for trading.
